The apparent goal of the merger is to bring closer integration with SnapAV products and to build a larger portfolio of products for Control4.

SnapAV have products that compete with Control4 recent acquisitions. For example OvrC overlaps with Ihiji and Araknis with Pakedge. Control4 also recently started offering CCTV with rebadged Lilin cameras, SnapAV have an extensive range of camera.

No-one is quite sure where this leaves Control4, unlike in the past Control4 are the ones being purchased. No information has been given to dealers as yet so we will just have to wait and see.
